Home-cooked food in HK

In all my 7 years in Hong Kong, once in a while, I get to eat some decent home-made food by Elena Smile .  Today, we had Winter Solstice (做冬)at Aunt M’s and it was nice to have some home-cooked food again:

And my favourite dishes:

Steamed shrimp – a twist from the GZ restaurants by putting in coriander and spring onion while steaming
Steamed fish – canton style

Stewed chicken with mushroom, black cloud ear and sea cucumber.  I am still not a fan of sea cucumber, but unlike before, I can eat it at least.  Love the chicken and black cloud ear in this dish and gotta learn how to make this from Elena before I leave.

And of course…the chicken soup boiled for about 4 hours with dried abalone and conch
