We spent a beautiful 3 nights and 2 days at a hotel overlooking Lake Garda. the receptionist told us, it must have been 100 years since they’d had a summer like this – gray and cloudy and rainy. Despite the gray, we enjoyed the view, the fresh air, the calm, and just relaxing, strolling exploring.
A late start to the first day after checkign in late night after the opera. We ate our lunch/tea at a little restaurant overlooking the lake. Delicious Canellonis and a lentil Italian soup that tasted just like indian DAL.
yummy cannellinis and an italian soup made of lentils that tasted JUST like indian DAL.
We then drove down the hills to the town of Sirmoine. I slept for over an hour while stuck in traffic. A cute cosy little town albeit overcrowded with tourists.
On the way back, we decided to pull off the main road to eat dinner, and unexpectedy found ourselves in a cosy little town, bustling with tourists eating, drinking, strolling late at night.
eating mussels and whole grilled fish.
and while returning to car, we passed by this amazing live band and stayed to enjoy and dance for an hour
on our way back to the car, we heard fireworks! there was fireworks right over the castle!
it was too late to go there for the full view so enjoying a peek through the buildings…
waking up a second day to this gorgeous mountainous lake view

this night, we decided to splurge on some good food instead of going to a random neighbourhood place
